　　羊城晚报讯 记者孙唯报道：近日，教育部先后发布两份公示，拟同意设置33所本科高等学校，其中涉及广东的有4所。公示显示，拟设立深圳理工大学、广东轻工职业技术大学、肇庆医学院；佛山科学技术学院拟更名为佛山大学。

　　深圳理工大学以中国科学院深圳先进技术研究院优质丰厚的科教资源为基础，“高水平、高起点、高标准、高质量”建设新型研究型大学。学校在中国科学院和广东省的支持下，与中国科学院深圳先进技术研究院科教合作、优势互补、共赢发展。学校以国家战略需求为目标，打造一流交叉学科专业，构建“科教融汇、产教融合”新体系，将教育与科研、产业、人才一体设计，统筹推进，培养“修德正身、知行合一”的创新拔尖人才。

　　佛山科学技术学院是经教育部批准设立的全日制公办普通本科高校，肇始于1958年创办的佛山师范学院和华南农学院佛山分院，迄今已有66年办学历史，是一所拥有硕士学位授予权、博士学位授予立项建设单位的广东省高水平大学(重点学科建设高校)。学校现有仙溪、江湾、河滨3个校区，拥有全日制在校本科生17385人，在校硕士研究生2033人，联招博士研究生61人。

　　广东轻工职业技术大学由广东轻工职业技术学院升格而来。广东轻工职业技术学院创建于1933年，是广东省属唯一国家示范性高等职业院校，中国特色高水平职业学校和高水平专业群(“双高计划”)建设单位，现有全日制高职在校生18326人。学校前身是“广东省立第一职业学校”，至今已有90年职业教育历史，1959年至1963年、1978年至1983年两段时期曾开办本科职业教育。

　　肇庆医学院由肇庆医学高等专科学校升格而来。肇庆医学高等专科学校前身为创建于1958年的中山医学院肇庆分院，2004年，经教育部批准改建为广东省唯一的公办医学高等专科学校。60余年栉风沐雨、几代师生不忘初心、砥砺前行、开拓创新、追求卓越，累计为农村基层和社区培养各类卫生专业人才7万余名，为广东省医疗卫生事业发展作出了重要的贡献。
